CIRCULATION 

Distribution is by bulk mail.  Each member of the NTA received a copy.  Additional copies are distributed to club presidents and / or golf course general managers and green chairmen, personnel of universities with turfgrass programs, golf course architects, builders, contractors and suppliers and libraries.  Total circulation is approximately 1000.

Bleeds: Bleeds need to extend beyond the crop marks by at least 1/8”.  Also, please delete any unnecessary pages to avoid unwanted output.  Send current color separated laser proofs for every page. 

Fonts: Do not use screen fonts with “city names such as New York, Chicago, etc. in your files, as they will not download properly. Edit your fonts to remove any unused fonts. Be sure to include all fonts used in logos, graphics and other linked files. Do not machine-bold or machine-italicize your fonts. Instead, use the actual bold or italic font. If you are using True Type fonts in your work, convert them to outlines or paths in a drawing program to avoid unwanted font substitutions or font replacement charges. Note: Adobe Acrobat does not support True Type fonts. 

Process/Spot Colors: Set colors for either spot or process or grayscale. No RGB colors. If your job is printing CMYK, make sure the graphics imported from Illustrator or Photoshop are set to process color. Otherwise, they won’t separate to the right plates. If your job is printing in spot color, make sure that the graphics imported from Illustrator or Freehand are set to spot color. Be sure to note the exact names of colors. They must match with any custom colors that you create in your page layout program. For example, if you define a spot color as Pantone 104 CVU in Illustrator, it must be named Pantone 104 CVU in Quark. They must match exactly. 

Submitting Your Files: Send files in their native applications and include all images used in files. Do not embed graphics in your documents, instead link them and send us the linked graphics. All marks (application generated or manually drawn) should be in registration color so they appear on all color separations. Please provide multiple page documents in single pages or printer spreads, not reader spreads.
